About Us
A few years on from its inception, Pratham Mysore has established credibility
within the regional education sector, so much so that state schools have incorporated some of Pratham's
teaching models into their mainstream curriculum and regularly allow Pratham's partnership on various
education initiatives in the region.
Pratham Mysore is what it is today due to the untiring efforts of innumerable volunteers,
philanthropists, corporates, the state department of Education and a very commited Pratham Mysore staff.
Board of Trustees
Ashvini Ranjan : Mr. Ashvini Ranjan is the Managing Trustee of Pratham Mysore
and has been actively involved in the strategic planning, analysis and expansion of all programs since inception.
He leads the Pratham Team of programs. A post graduate from the University of Mysore, Mr. Ashvini Ranjan
began his career as a teacher at the University. He is currently the Managing Director of A. J. Polymers Private
Limited, Mysore.
Shashi Ranjan : Ms. Shashi Ranjan is the Founder Trustee of Pratham Mysore and is
actively involved with Pratham's community based activities. Driven with a passion for social work she has been
associated with Bapuji Children Home, an orphanage for children at Mysore. She is the Director of A. J. Stationery
Private Limited, Mysore.
Dr. T. Padmini : Dr. T. Padmini, Trustee of Pratham Mysore, is a Ph.D. in education
specializing in the area of cognitive development of children. Retired from the Department of studies in Education,
University of Mysore, Mysore after serving as Professor of Education and Chairperson, was awarded Emeritus
Professorship for 2005-07 by the University Grant's Commission. Being instrumental in the design and development
of curriculum for Pratham programs, Dr. T. Padmini handles all academic issues including Research & Development
work in Pratham Mysore.
Dr. Bhamy. V. Shenoy : Dr. Bhamy. V. Shenoy is an advisor to Pratham Mysore on
program implementation. He handles all donor relationships and assists in mobilizing resources and building
liaisoning with funding institutions, corporates and the government. He is associated with many NGOs and is
actively involved in consumer movement in Mysore. An energy consultant by profession, Dr. Shenoy is an IITian
and holds a Ph.D. in Management.
A. K. Ranganathan : A practicing Chartered Accountant by profession with over 25
years of experience, Mr. Ranganathan A. K. is involved with many charitable institutions as an honorary
Trustee/Auditor. He is currently working for M/s Software Paradigms Info Tech Private Limited. As a
Trustee - Treasurer, A. K. Ranganthan is involved in financial management and auditing of accounts at
Pratham Mysore.
Shahnaz Irani : An educationist with vast experience in managing educational
institutions for over two decades, Ms. Shahnaz Irani is well known in academic circles. She is responsible
in providing assistance in administrative matters of Pratham Mysore. She has been associated with a number
of NGOs in the city.
