Pratham Mysore is a community based grass root organisation promoting the cause of educating the
underprivileged children of Mysore, India. Driven by the mission statement,
Every Child in School and LearningWell Pratham Mysore has successfully delivered programs of
education at pre-school and primary levels to around 15,000 poor children in Mysore and surrounding districts.
We started working toward our cause from humble beginnings with a single Balawadi of 20 children
in Nachanahallli Palya, an under-privileged area in Mysore from June 2002. Today, we cover 14 slum locations
reaching out to thousands of poor children. We are committed to achieving universalization of Primary education and
improving the educational standards by effective participation of institutions and

Our Programmes
Pratham Mysore delivers services through Balawadis (nurseries) for pre-school children, remedial
programmes for slow learners and out of school children.
Libraries to sustain reading interests and seminar-series to ignite creative thinking in children lend further support to
