If you are between jobs, a student on vacation, a pensioner, a homemaker, or if your organization promotes or supports voluntary work, you could look at helping Pratham achieve the goal of getting every child in school and learning well.

How you can help Pratham

• Story Telling - You could train the teachers in story telling with the help of pictures, puppets or dolls. You could even assist in preparation of such material. Your stories could be recorded on cassettes to be played to the children.

• Developing teaching aids - A number of items are regularly required to assist the teacher in the process of teaching. Items such as picture books, color cards, alphabet cards, etc.. You could help in innovating and developing these low cost teaching aids. You could also mobilize volunteers to assist in the making of these teaching materials.

• Creativity - To constantly think of putting to greater use the organizational strengths of Pratham. Working on Summer school concept, women empowerment, preparing publicity posters, creative writing, starting new programmes, learning for adolescent children.

• Librarian - Organizing and setting up libraries, mobile libraries. Collection of books for the libraries, overseeing its entire activities including training.

• Auditor - As an auditor you could visit our teaching centres and conduct an audit to ensure that quality work is being done, and that guidelines provided for the purpose are being strictly followed.
