Mr. Ashok Rao is an Engineer (BE from NITK & MS from UMASS, US). Worked 25+ years for Rockwell International – US, Bosch – India & Germany & Automotive Axles. Since 2014, he runs K G K Engineering (a startup) in the manufacturing space. He is an active member of CII at State & Region level. He is active in the professional educational space. He is the Chairperson of Technical Education Quality Improvement Board of NIE since 2012.
Mr. Ashvini Ranjan
Founder Trustee
Mr Ashvini Ranjan is the Founder Trustee of Pratham Mysore. A post graduate from the University of Mysore. Started his career as a teacher in Political Science at Mysore University before venturing into business of manufacturing stationery and office products. Along with wife Shashi, founded Pratham Mysore during 2002 and until 2019 served as Managing Trustee. Besides overseeing general administration and everyday issues, he was into strategic planning, analysis and expansion of programmes. After stepping down from being the Managing Trustee, he continues to drive new programs.
Ms. Shashi Ranjan
FOUNDER TRUSTEE
Ms. Shashi Ranjan is a Founder Trustee, a science graduate from Bangalore University. Contributed significantly during Pratham Mysore’s formative years in its community based projects. Was associated with Bapuji Children’s Home, an orphanage as Secretary for seventeen years. Currently an active director in A.J. Stationery Pvt Ltd.
Dr. T. Padmini
TRUSTEE
Dr. T. Padmini is a Ph.D. in education specializing in the area of cognitive development of children. Retired from the Department of studies in Education, University of Mysore, Mysore after serving as Professor of Education and Chairperson. Was awarded Emeritus Professorship for 2005-07 by the University Grant’s Commission. Being instrumental in the design and development of curriculum for Pratham programmes, Dr. T. Padmini handles all academic issues including Research & Development work in Pratham Mysore.
Prof. Nirmal C Prakash
TRUSTEE
Prof. Nirmala C Prakash as forty one years of teaching experience coupled with research at the university level. She has served as professor and chairperson, Dept.of English ,Director, School of Humanities and Dean (Study Centres) at Karnataka State Open University. She has published four books and several research papers. Some of the prestigious awards she has earned are UGC’s Indo -French Social Scientist Fellowship. Prof. Nirmala has special interest in developing soft skills, motivating students and devising inspirational classroom strategies to exploit the optimum potential of adult learners.
Mr. Sheshadri Anandrao
TRUSTEE
Mr. Sheshadri Anandrao has a Post Graduate Degree in Economics with experience in designing, developing and leading projects on Population Education ,Adolescent Health and Youth Issues.. He has been associated with Pratham Mysore since 2002 overseeing operations, mobilizing communities and catalysing schools to deliver basic learning on scale and building the capacities of Pratham team. Also involved in planning and management of resources of the organization.
Dr. Bhamy. V. Shenoy
ADVISOR
Dr. Bhamy. V. Shenoy has been associated with Pratham Mysore since its inception. Actively and has been exploring for strategies to transform India’e Education sector. He was associated with Pratham USA when it was being established in late 90s in Houston. He has served as a governing council member of Manipal Institute of Technology, and currently a governing council member of Nitte Engineering College. He has developed a program, “True Education” to ignite critical thinking in students and to motivate students to get involved in socially relevant projects. He is associated with many NGOs ( Trustee of Gurugram based Sehgal Foundation, and Delhi based Consumer Voice) and is actively involved in consumer movement in Mysore having been the founding working president of Mysore Grahakara Parishat. An international energy consultant by profession, Dr. Shenoy is an IITian and holds a Ph.D. in Management.
Mr. Anil Kotari
ADVISOR
Mr. Anil Kotari is a successful businessman and an active social worker. He has been serving as a volunteer in a number of charitable and philanthropic institutions. He is associated as a convener with Mysore’s “Roti Bank” which fights hunger by delivering daily meals to the needy. He has also been associated with the Mysore Chapter of “Aashayen Foundation” and is involved in activities that are directly aimed at achieving access to quality education.
Mr. Jagadeesh
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Mr. Jagadeesh has a Masters’s degree in Education, and worked as a teacher, before pivoting to join Pratham Mysore in its initial days. He has headed different projects under roles such as Content Specialist, Project Manager and Human Resources for close to 20 years, and is currently the COO (Chief Operations Officer). He specializes in bringing in donors, managing stakeholder expectations, sustaining programs in rural areas, building cordial relationships with the community and mentoring team members. The day-to-day implementation of projects, and the distribution of adequate manpower to ensure qualitative execution of tasks is one of his many responsibilities.
